Breast Uplift

What is a breast uplift?

A breast uplift, more formally known as breast uplift surgery, gives you fuller breasts and it also gives them a more youthful shape on your body. As well as changing your appearance, surgery can greatly boost your self-esteem and make you feel more feminine and attractive.

Why have a breast uplift?

If you have found that your breasts are starting to sag as you age, rest assured, you’re certainly not alone. Even so, you might still want to use surgery to increase your self-confidence and to allow you to wear a wider choice of clothes. As understandable as it is to want to look younger, the decision to go ahead with surgery needs careful consideration. We would strongly encourage you to chat through any concerns you might have with one of our consultant surgeons or a member of our team of friendly advisors, so that you can be 100% confident with your decision if you do eventually proceed with surgery.

Your breast uplift operation

With a breast lift at BMI Cosmetic, your chosen consultant surgeon will make a neat cut on each breast and, after removing excess skin and tissue, will re-shape the breasts and tighten the surrounding skin. Finally, to make your new breasts look as natural as possible, the nipples will be carefully repositioned. The good news is that scarring is minimal and it will largely fade over time. In many cases, a breast uplift operation is combined with the use of implants to achieve the best possible result. The operation will be performed under a general anaesthetic and you will need to stay in hospital overnight.

Directly after your breast uplift, you will feel tender and you may experience a feeling of taut skin or numbness. This is only temporary and you can ease any discomfort with painkillers. To give yourself a chance to recover properly, you should take a week off work after your operation to relax at home, and you should avoid any strenuous activity for at least three weeks.

There’s nothing worse than unexpected charges that you don’t find out about until after the event, and that’s why we make sure you know the full cost of your surgery before you make the decision to proceed. Our inclusive packages cover all the hospital charges for your stay, your consultant’s fees for the operation and one-follow-up consultation.
