Sometimes known as a ‘boob job’, breast enlargement surgery is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures for women. Successful surgery should give your breasts a larger and better shape, and is likely to improve your self-confidence every bit as much as your looks.
Why have a breast enlargement?
Every woman will have their own reasons for considering breast enlargement, and the decision to go ahead with surgery needs careful consideration. We would strongly encourage you to chat through any doubts you might have with one of our consultant surgeons or a member of our team of friendly advisors before you commit to a procedure. These advisors are here to help answer any questions you have, without applying any kind of sales pressure, so that you can be 100% confident with your decision if you do eventually proceed with surgery.
Your breast enlargement operation
Without wanting to get too technical at this early stage, there are two types of breast enlargement implants used in the UK: silicone gel and saline solution. Of the two, silicone gel implants are often thought to look the most natural. Typically, your surgeon will make a neat cut under the breast and place the implant through it. With the implant in place, the surgeon will then close the cut with dissolvable stitches. Finally, your breasts will be wrapped in supporting bandages to keep them well protected for the next few days. As with all surgery, you can expect a small amount of scarring afterwards, but the good news is that this will be hidden and will fade with time.
Recovery from breast enlargement surgery
After your operation, you should be able to go home the same day or possibly the day afterwards, although please remember that you won’t be able to drive yourself. We know you’ll be excited to check out the results as soon as you possibly can, but you’ll need to be patient for a few days before you can remove those bandages. Even then, you’ll find it usually takes a few weeks for your new breasts to look and feel completely natural.
Breast enlargement cost
There’s nothing worse than unexpected charges that you don’t find out about until after the event, and that’s why we make sure you know the full cost of your surgery before you make the decision to proceed. Our inclusive packages cover all the hospital charges for your stay, your consultant’s fees for the operation and one-follow-up consultation.
